Yesterday and today have been sobering days for me.
Time to pick up all the Jamie Berryhill For Congress campaign yard signs and 4x4s I personally and gladly put out all around Midland. So many wonderful memories. So many beautiful faces and awesome places. So many sleepless hours and so many miles covered. So many gruesome challenges and inexplicable victories. So many mixed feelings right now. I confess it has been so hard to process everything I experienced first hand. In the middle of it all, though, the phone rings and a kind, sweet voice says, "I knew nothing about Berryhill. I voted for him because of you!" It was a blasting ray of sunshine piercing the dense fog in my emotions!!! Most of you do not know the dramatic story that brought me and my family from Brazil to America. For now, it is enough to say that the daily embodiment of the America identity has been a healing process to my severely wounded heart. To regain the confidence in myself has been, slowly but surely, a walk on the highway of light, my way shining brighter and brighter day after day. And I firmly believe the perfect day will be soon brought forth (Proverbs 4:18). I thank the Lord every single day for waking up in the greatest nation this earth has ever seen! But, more than anything, I thank the Lord everyday for each and every one of the friends He gave me in this Land of the Free and Home of the Brave! #Grateful #RebornInTheUSA #MyHomeSweetHome |
