I first visited America in 2012. Wow, 8 years have gone by!
I clearly remember that that was the year when I was told by a good friend to read and study about the potential "centennial of the death of the 10th amendment" (meaning, an event that would be happening in the following year). I already knew what the 10th amendment was back then. That recommendation, therefore, utterly shocked me. "How come?", I asked. "Just study about it. You'll find out for yourself."
Well, of course he triggered all of my cognitive senses! Long story short, I ended up understanding what took place in America in 1913, or in other words, the trigger that would "kill" the 10th amendment.
Here's what I found. Question is, is there anything we could be doing to undo the "murder" of one of the most brilliant constitutional amendments chiseled by the Framers?
In 1913, under the guidance of President Woodrow Wilson, the 16th amendment was ratified. The amendment allowed the federal government to collect income taxes for the first time in America's history. Before this the federal government acquired capital through fees on items such as gum, cigarettes, etc. From this point on, the old communist dream of “redistributing wealth” was turned into a reality.
The unrestricted expansion of the federal Leviathan was and is done through the “redistribution” of the American People's tax dollars to 456 agencies (today). The idea of “pork barrel” projects, meaning the legalized form of bribery, is done by taking tax dollars from your state, sending them to DC, and then allowing Congress to distribute those funds back to their districts.
So, your state’s in trouble, your family could use that extra 10-15% of your income, but the feds take it out from your check anyways. After all, Mr. John Doe needs to get re-elected, you know, and so he desperately needs your money to furnish a pet project back home to build his "credibility" with his constituents. Thus, the passage of the 16th amendment forever changed federalism as America knew it. Now, whenever a state receives funds from the federal government it immediately becomes a slave to the federal government.
Under the Wilson administration, America experienced some of the most foundational changes to its federalist system. As a few scholars put it, the Republic was eviscerated right before our very eyes.
Now, again, would there be anything we could do to return this unique American tenet to its original format? What could we do now that the Federal Reserve has taken on the responsibility of one of the enumerated powers of Congress, meaning the power to print money?
Constitutional experts agree that there is only one thing Americans can do now: people should urge the state they live in to pass some form of a "nullification-teaser" bill. And this type of bill is fortunately popping up all over the nation, and unless we wish to have the remaining sovereignty we hold in our state stripped down to the last thread, we must take action now toward passing legislation that will impede the monstrous power grab of the federal government and force an honest debate over our “21st century federalism” which amounts to nothing more than a tyranny, a type of despotism in which those in Washington DC, who should be our servants, are now our masters.
The good news is, there are signs that the American people are waking up, and becoming more educated. This charade cannot continue! Several states, as you read this text, are suing the federal government, for instance, over “individual mandates” proposed in Health Care bills. Other states are passing their own stricter versions of immigration reforms.
That should be the side Texas picks in this fight with the Trump Administration regarding the reopening of the economy, because, as clearly stated by the 10th amendment, that is exactly the side of the We The People!!!

However, instead of keeping a long list of professional credentials and accomplishments, there is a special, top feature he would want you to retain: he is a diehard America-loving legal immigrant!
